29th July (Saturday), 8 pm – Concert Hall of the Youth Culture Centre
SAXOPHONE KNOWN AND UNKNOWN
TICKETS: 35/25 PLN (BUY TICKET)

The Nordic Saxophone Quartet, a musical group of the best Scandinavian saxophonists, will present their programme entitled Crossing Borders, which includes works by Nordic composers as well as by such musical geniuses as, among others, George Gershwin.

The programme transcends the divisions between musical styles and emphasises their interrelationships. The Quartet has invited the Toruń violinist Monika Orłowska-Skruszewicz to play with them the musical pieces Gotländsk sommarnatt by the Swedish composer Svante Pettersson and A Melody by the Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk.

This concert, a unique blend of classical, jazz, folk and tango music, will include the world premiere of selected compositions by Charlotte Bray, a young British composer, who is likely to be present at the event.
