BOREK KATARZYNA /PL/ – piano
Katarzyna Borek is an outstanding pianist of the Polish young generation. She studied at the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz/Poland, Hochschule fur Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover and Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels. She proved her artistry by receiving awards in many prestigious international piano competitions among others: International Ignacy Jan Paderewski Competition in Bydgoszcz, the International Chopin Competition in Moscow, Gottingen and Szafarnia and a finalist of The International Busoni Competition in Bolzano. She participated in numerous festivals, most notably the International Paderewski in Memoriam Festival in Warsaw, The Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, The Europhony Festival in Bucharest, The Busoni Festival in Bolzano, The Polish Culture Festival in Luxembourg, The Chopin Opera Omnia Festival in the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk and The Chopin Open Festival in the National Opera in Warsaw.
Katarzyna Borek has represented Poland on many prestigious occasions – during the International Summit of European Union and Latin America in Lima 2008, in the European Parliament in Brussels and during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
In 2010 she received the Prize of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage “Young Poland”.
BRÜLLOVÁ MIRIAM RODRIGUEZ /SK/ – guitar
Miriam studied at the State Conservatory in Bratislava. After obtaining a bachelor degree in interpretation and pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava she studied with outstanding guitarist and pedagogue Alvaro Pierri at Université du Québec á Montréal and Université Laval in Quebec City where she obtained a master degree in interpretation (2001). In 2003 she completed her studies at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna as a postgraduate student with the same teacher.
As an active participant of international master classes she cooperated with such artists as Abel Carlevaro, Alvaro Pierri, Luise Walker, Oscar Ghiglia, Pavel Steidl, John Duarte, Hubert Käppel, Costas Cotsiolis, Zoran Dukić, Aniello Desiderio and Laura Young.
Miriam participated in several guitar competitions in Slovakia as well as in Vienna (Austria), Kutná Hora (Czech Republic) and Weikersheim (Germany) where she won major prizes. Two times (1999, 2000) she was the winner of a scholarship as the best participant of the master class at the international music festival Joventuts Musicals de Torroella de Montgrí in Spain permitting her to perform recitals in Spain and France.
Miriam performed at such famous concert halls as Prague Rudolfinum, Berlin Konzerthaus, Seoul Art Center, Auditorium Conciliazione Rome, Teatro Filarmonico Verona and others. In addition to Slovakia she has played in almost whole Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa.
For several years she was engaged by the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. Now she teaches at the Conservatory in Bratislava. Miriam is playing the guitar by world-known luthier Gernot Wagner.
BUTRYN JERZY /PL/ – bass
Absolwent wydziału wokalnego PSM II st. we Wrocławiu, obecnie student Akademii Muzycznej im. K. Linpińskiego we Wrocławiu na wydziale wokalnym w klasie śpiewu prof. Bogdana Makala. Laureat I nagrody na Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Wokalnym im. Franciszki Platówny we Wrocławiu II nagrody na Międzynarodowym Konkursie w Kijowie (Ukraina) oraz III nagrody i nagrody specjalnej na Międzynarodowym Konkursie Wokalnym w Kownie (Litwa). Uczestniczył w kursach wokalnych w Dusznikach Zdrój, Kursie Intrepretacji Muzyki Kantatowej i Oratoryjnej w ramach Miedzynarodowego Festiwalu „Wratislavia Cantans”, w Kursie Mistrzowskim u prof.Teresy Żylis-Gara, prof. Valeryego Buymistra, prof. Sabiny Martinaityte i prof. Zdzisława Krzywickiego. Koncertował jako solistach w wielu filharmoniach w Polsce.
Ma na swoim koncie wiele koncertów w kraju i zagranicą zarówno z repertuarem oratoryjnym, operowym jak i również muzyki cerkiewnej. Dokonał nagrania partii basowej „Stabat Mater” – Józefa Haydna, „Requiem”- Gabriela Faure oraz utworów Mikołaja Zieleńskiego. Stypendysta Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
CHRZANOWSKI SŁAWOMIR /PL/ – conductor
In 1990 he became the Managing and Artistic Director of Zabrze Philharmonic, which he conducts and manages today. Together with that Orchestra he gave over 1200 concerts on various stages home and abroad. He conducted at festivals (“Gaude Mater” in Częstochowa, “Viva il canto” in Cieszyn, Zabrze Music Festiwal, Krystyna Jamroz Festiwal in Busko-Zdrój, Music Spring in Trnava, etc.), many times partook in periodical projects like “Nieszpory Ludmierskie” or The Three Polish Tenors Concerts. More than 30 times did he lead concerts, charity events as well, featuring the greatest Polish tenor voice Wiesław Ochman. He recorded CD albums and was filmed for the archival purposes for the Polish Radio and Polish Television. S. Chrzanowski with his Orchestra also performed in Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Japan.
Several times he was invited to America, where he gave concerts and lectured open classes on the Polish music history.
DUO BENZAKOUN /FR/ – piano duo
The Duo Benzakoun based in Orléans, France, is acclaimed for its interpretation of an extensive and diverse musical repertoire. The Duo Benzakoun embodies exceptional talent; performing with great ease, emotion and virtuosity the works of celebrated composers such as Mozart, Ravel, Stravinsky or Rachmaninoff.
The Duo Benzakoun performs extensively in concert halls worldwide (details available under the “concerts” heading). Additionally, they have received numerous awards of excellence in international competitions between 1988 and 1991. Their performances in France include the Salle Cortot, Musique en Sorbonne, la Grange de Nohant, as well as Tours in the Region Centre of the country. The Duo Benzakoun’s most recent international tours include appearances in England, Norway, Italy, Austria, Israel, Mexico, Madagascar, Canada, Cyprus. They have also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and the Chicago Cultural Center. The Duo Benzakoun’s performance repertoire includes Poulenc’s Concerto for two under the direction of J.-Y. Ossonce. They have also created a piece with singer-soprano Corinne Sertillanges, entitled Evocación . As well, they periodically perform a critically acclaimed theatrical performance entitled “Le Carnaval des Animaux” with the Clin d’oeil company. Whatever the occasion, of the duo’s performances onstage are a source of great delight for the audience. Audiences and critics are unanimous: “The two pianists appear as perfect duettists; their main quality lies in the sound balance emanating from the writing, and their capacity to successfully reveal the emotions which transcend the musical work.” (Ouest France).
Both pianists hold an Artist Diploma degree from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy where they studied with the Eden-Tamir Duet. After an international career of nearly twenty years, the Duo Benzakoun ranks among the best interpreters of the repertoire for two , piano duet and two with orchestra
HOSIA LOUNA /Finlandia/ – viola da gamba
Louna Hosia studied the Baroque cello and Early music performance at the Sibelius Academy and at the Barcelona Academy of Music. She is a regular performer with the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, Opus X ensemble, Ensemble Nylandia, New Century Baroque (of which she is a founding member), Concerto Copenhagen, KORE ensemble, ensemble Cornucopia and folk-Baroque ensemble BRÚ, with performances in all parts of Finland and across Europe on the Baroque cello and viola da gamba.
Louna Hosia teaches at the Helsinki Conservatory as well as music insitutes of Kerava, Pakila and Western Helsinki; since 2010 she is a member of the Finnish Baroque Orchestra’s education team. With the aforementioned ensembles and orchestras she has made a number of recordings, of which the latest, with music by Christoph Graupner, was awarded Recording of the Year by the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE).
KOSENDIAK ANDRZEJ /PL/ – conductor
Director of the National Forum of Music, artist, conductor and pedagogue, Andrzej Kosendiak has earned an enviable reputation as one of the most active and committed musicians and organizers of music life in Poland. He graduated from the Department of Composition, Conducting and Music Theory of Wrocław Music Academy. In 2013 he obtained the academic degree of doctor habilitatus. For many years he taught at his Alma Mater, where in 2001-2009 he was head of the Cross-Department Early Music Studies. Since 2014 he has been Professor at the S. Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. In 2005 he became Director of the Wrocław Philharmonic and the International Festival Wratislavia Cantans.
Early music is of particular interest to Andrzej Kosendiak: in 1985 he founded Collegio di Musica Sacra and has directed the ensemble ever since. They have given concerts in many European countries, as well as the US (including collaboration with Chapel Hill University NC), appearing at the most prestigious festivals and concert venues across Poland. His recording catalogue includes rediscovered music from Wrocław University Library – Musica da chiesa (DUX), and from Strasbourg Library – F. X Richter: ‘Missa Pastorale’, Dixit, Magnificat (CYPRES) as well as A. M. Bononcini’s Stabat Mater (DUX). 2012 and 2014 saw the release of two discs with works by G. G. Gorczycki (CD Accord) directed by Andrej Kosendiak. The first disc was awarded Wrocław Music Prize and nominated for Fryderyk Award. As a conductor he gives regular concerts with the NFM Symphony Orchestra and Choir, as well as Wrocław Baroque Orchestra and philharmonic ensembles across Poland. Over the recent years he has conducted Haydn’s The Creation, Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Mass in C minor and Requiem, Bach’s Mass in B flat minor and both Passions (initiating years ago a tradition of performing these works in Wrocław during the Holy Week), Fauré’s Requiem, and Britten’s Saint Nicolas.
KUBAS – KRUK ALEKSANDRA /PL/ – soprano
Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk studiowała śpiew na Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu pod kierunkiem prof.Danuty Paziuk-Zipser oraz na Uniwersytecie Muzycznym w Wiedniu. Brała udział w wielu kursach mistrzowskich u tak uznanych profesorów jak: T.Żylis-Gara, C.Richardson, I.Kremling, P.Tschaplik, M.Habela, S.Vittucci, R.Resnik. W 2009 roku została laureatką Teatralnej Nagrody Muzycznej im. Jana Kiepury w kategorii Najlepsza Śpiewaczka oraz Wrocławskiej Nagrody Muzycznej w kategorii Muzyka Poważna. Od 2011r. współpracuje z Teatrem Bolshoi w Moskwie, gdzie wykonuje partie Szemachańskiej Królowej (Złoty kogucik M.Rimski-Korsakow), Królowej nocy (Czarodziejski flet W.A.Mozart), Ognia, Królewny i Słowika (Dziecko i czary M.Ravel). Występowała pod batutą takich dyrygentów, jak: Vassily Sinaisky, Péter Eötvös, Elio Boncompagni, John Axelrod, Stefan Blunier, Christopher Moulds, Jacek Kasprzyk, Andriy Yurkevych, Łukasz Borowicz, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Tadeusz Strugała, Ewa Michnik, Pavel Klinichev, Marek Pijarowski, Michał Klauza, Jan Miłosz Zarzycki, Sławomir Chrzanowski.
KUK TOMASZ /PL/ – tenor
Ukończył z wyróżnieniem Wydział Wokalno-Aktorski Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie, w klasie prof. W.J. Śmietany. Laureat licznych krajowych i zagranicznych konkursów wokalnych – zdobył m.in.: I nagrodę na Konkursie Wokalnym we Wrocławiu (1994), II nagrodę oraz nagrodę specjalną na Konkursie Wokalnym im. H. Słoniowskiej w Dusznikach Zdroju (1996); III nagrodę regulaminową oraz nagrodę specjalną na VII Międzynarodowym Konkursie Sztuki Wokalnej im. A. Sari w Nowym Sączu (1997). W 1999 roku został laureatem Międzynarodowego Konkursu Wokalnego im. V. Belliniego (Caltanissetta, Włochy), I nagrodę zdobył też podczas IV Międzynarodowego Konkursu Wokalnego im. S. Moniuszki w Warszawie. Artysta ma w swoim dorobku wiele prestiżowych koncertów oratoryjnych i estradowych (wśród nich m.in. wykonania „Stabat Mater” A. Dvořaka pod dyrekcją H. Rillinga, „Mszy Es-dur” F. Schuberta pod dyrekcją W. Michniewskiego, „Requiem”W.A. Mozarta, „Requiem”G. Verdiego pod dyrekcją T. Wojciechowskiego). Współpracuje z Operą Krakowską, Teatrem Wielkim w Łodzi, Teatrem Wielkim im. S. Moniuszki w Poznaniu, Operą Nova w Bydgoszczy, a także Teatrem Wielkim – Operą Narodową w Warszawie. Bierze udział w przedstawieniach zagranicznych scen operowych, m.in. w Japonii, Anglii, Niemczech, Szwajcarii, Austrii i Czechach. Dotychczas występował wielokrotnie jako Ismael w „Nabucco”, Alfred w „Traviacie”, Macduff w operze „Macbeth”, Carlo w „Joannie d’Arc”, Duca w „Rigoletto”, Radames w „Aidzie”, Manrico w „Trubadurze” G. LASPAS ILPO /Finlandia/ – klawesyn
Ilpo Laspas graduated from the Sibelius Academy in 2010. He was awarded diplomas on the harpsichord, the organ and continuo playing and an intermediate degree on the piano, all with distinction. Since 2010 he is a doctoral student at the Academy on the organ and the haprsichord.
Laspas has been successful in several competitions on all of his three instruments. He was awarded the 2nd prize and the audience’s prize at the international Johann Sebastian Bach harpsichord competion in Leipzig in 2006 and the 2nd prize in the organ category of the said competition in 2008.
Ilpo Laspas was elected the Young Artist of the Year of the Vantaa Baroque festival in 2006, the Pori Organ festival in 2009, the Young Organist of the Year of the Turku cathedral in 2009 and the Lahti International Organ Festival in 2010. He has received grants from the Finnish Cultural Foundation for his work and doctoral studies since 2010
MAKAL BOGDAN /PL/ – bass
Jest laureatem wielu nagród w konkursach ogólnopolskich i międzynarodowym: Warszawa 1989 – II nagroda, Warszawa 1991 – III nagroda, Duszniki Zdrój 1992 – II nagroda i nagroda specjalna, Gdańsk 1993 – II nagroda i nagroda specjalna i inne. Wykonywał partie barytonowe i basowe w ponad 100 dziełach oratoryjnych. Uczestniczył w wielu festiwalach w kraju i za granicą. Współpracował z teatrem operowym oraz dramatycznym. Dokonał wielu nagrań dla radia i telewizji w kraju, Czechach, Francji i USA. Wśród tych nagrań są płyty nagrodzone Grand Prix du Disque oraz Diapason d’Or. Jest profesorem w Akademii Muzycznej we Wrocławiu i dziekanem Wydziału Wokalnego tejże uczelni, a także kierownikiem Wydziału Wokalnego w PSM II st. we Wrocławiu. Wśród wokalistów z jego klasy śpiewu jest wielu laureatów krajowych i międzynarodowych konkursów wokalnych. Wykładowca i kierownik Zimowego Kursu Wokalnego w Dusznikach Zdroju, juror krajowych i międzynarodowych konkursów wokalnych.
MATTSON PETRI TAPIO /Finland/ – Baroque violin
Petri Tapio Mattson is one of the most influential Finnish Baroque string players. He studied the violin and interpretation of Early music at the Sibelius Academy and on numerous master classes. He was awarded his diploma on the Baroque violin – the first of its kind at the Academy – under the guidance of legendary professor Jaap Schröder in Spring 1999.
Petri Tapio Mattson has performed as orchestral and chamber musicians, ensemble director, conductor and solo artist in all of Finland as well as most countries of Western and Central Europe. He is the artistic director of Early music ensemble ‘Opus X’. He has made nearly twenty recordings for various labels (including Ondine, BIS and Alba), many of which have been received with enthusiasm internationally.
In addition to the violin Petri Tapio Mattson has performed on the Baroque viola and the viola da gambas. He has also studied violin making and writes music in various genres.

MONTEUR VOJTO /PL/ – electronics
Wojciech Orszewski has had an interest in music since his childhood. Already at the school age, he co-founded music bands who participated in numerous popular music contests and festivals. He has graduated from the Wrocław School of Jazz and Popular Music. He has participated in many music workshops, where he was learning to play the guitar under the supervision of outstanding guitarists (Artur Lesicki, Martin Schaberl).
For eight years, he was a founding member of Miloopa band, with whom he performed on numerous stages both in Poland and in Europe. This band greatly contributed to the development of a new wave of club and electronic music and promoted the Polish scene of electronic music abroad, for example, in France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Hungary as well as during the greatest festivals: Sziget Festival, United Islands, Be2gether Festival, Fete De La Musique Luxembourg, United Islands of Prague, Creambields, JDM Festival, Open’er, Summer of Music, Szene Festival, Green Valley, Jazz Festival Stockholm.
The band cooperated with the leading electronic music artists from other countries such as Mc Blu Rum13 (oneself, dj vadim). They went on tour together with Jojo Mayer’s Nerve (USA), Beanbield (Germany), Micatone (Germany), Dj First Rate (UK), Forss vs Borg (Sonar Kollektiv).
At present, he permanently cooperates with the following groups: Natalia Lubrano, Joao, Lov Digit All Love. He is also the composer of film and theatre music for the following productions: „Śpij Dobrze” (2004), „Rybcia”, „Fałszywy Świt” (2006), „Szepty” performance (2008), MIKI MISTER DJ, (Gdynia City Theatre, 2012).
As a producer, he has been the artistic supervisor of three albums: “Sprawca” by Bartosz Porczyk (2010), “Rocks” by Joao (2011) and „Respect” by Natalia Lubrano (2012). MULROY NICHOLAS /UK/ – tenor
Born in Liverpool, Nicholas was a chorister at the city’s Metropolitan Cathedral before studying Modern Languages at Cambridge and voice at the RAM. He has since been in constant demand both in the UK and further afield in a wide range of concert, recital and opera engagements.
Widely known for his performances of Baroque repertoire, he has sung with some of its most noted exponents: Bach’s Evangelist with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and EBS, Paul McCreesh and the Gabrieli Consort, Laurence Cummings, Juanjo Mena and the BBC Philharmonic, John Butt and the Dunedin Consort, and further afield with Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Stephen Layton and the Auckland Philharmonia. He has also sung to great acclaim with groups such as the OAE, the Choir of New College, Oxford, I Fagiolini, the King’s Consort, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Brussels Philharmonic, Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, le Concert d’Astrée, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Jordi Savall and La Capella Reial de Catalunya, the Britten Sinfonia, and at opera houses including Paris (Palais Garnier and Opéra Comique), Glyndebourne, Lille, and the Grand Capitole in Toulouse.
Away from the Baroque, he has sung Tavener’s Requiem with BBCNOW, Piazzolla’s María de Buenos Aires with Mr McFall’s Chamber, Berio Sinfonia and the world premiere of Stephen Pratt’s Uneasy Vespers with RLPO, Haydn Creation with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Britten’s Serenade with Orquesta del Principado de Asturias, Britten Nocturne and Mozart Requiem with the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
He has recorded extensively, with credits including a Gramophone Award-winning Messiah and critical acclaim has followed for recordings of Acis and Galatea, Matthäus-Passion, Handel’s Esther and a recent Johannes-Passion where he sings both Evangelist and arias. Engagements for this season and beyond include further recitals for the Oxford Lieder Festival, a tour of the Christmas Oratorio with the Nederlandse Bach Vereniging, Evangelist in Johannes-Passion with the OAE, Matthäus-Passion with the Gabrieli Consort for the Aix Easter Festival, and a programme of Purcell Odes at the Wigmore Hall as part of their Purcell Retrospective.
NFM CHOIR /PL/
The National Forum of Music Choir was founded in 2006 by Andrzej Kosendiak as one of the ensembles of the Wrocław Philharmonic to be transformed into the National Forum of Music in May 2014. Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny has been the Choir’s artistic director ever since its inception. In a short space of time it has established itself as one of Poland’s leading choral ensembles, thanks to its rich and varied repertoire, which includes a cappella, vocal-instrumental, oratorio, operatic, and symphonic works. It has collaborated with such distinguished conductors as Paul McCreesh, Giovanni Antonini, Jacek Kaspszyk, Krzysztof Penderecki, James MacMillan, Bob Chilcott and Jan Łukaszewski.
In a few years the Choir has performed over 200 times, collaborating among others with the Gabrieli Consort, Il Giardino Armonico and NDR Orchestra, giving concerts at the Salle Pleyel (Paris), the Barbican Centre (London), the Royal Albert Hall (London), Gewandhaus (Leipzig). It was a guest of the music festivals: Schleswig-Holstein, Gent van Vlaanderen, Wratislavia Cantans, Warsaw Autumn, Ankara Music Festival. In addition to regular performances with the other NFM ensembles, the group is touring Poland performing with leading polish
philharmonic orchestras, including Polish Radio Orchestras in Katowice and Warsaw. It is often being broadcasted on the Polish Radio and abroad. In 2009 and 2011 it was the first Polish choir to be invited to the legendary BBC Proms. In 2011 at the Varaždin Baroque Evenings festival in Croatia it received one of the three main awards – the Kantor Award for exceptional performance of works by J.S. Bach. The Choir made its first tour of the United States of America in June 2013 and in October it performed with the world-wide known group The Swingle Singers.
An important part of the NFM Choir’s discography is a series of recordings under the direction of Paul McCreesh: Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts (2011, BBC Music Magazine Technical Excellence Award 2012), Mendelssohn’s Elijah (2012, Diapason d’Or de l’Année 2013) and Britten’s War Requiem (2013, BBC Music Magazine Choral Award 2014). The Choir’s a cappella albums are: Words Painted with Sounds (2012), a CD with Bob Chilcott’s music The Seeds of Stars (2012) and Folk Love released in 2014
PETER MANTE’S GOSPEL PROJECT /DE/
“Peter Mante’s Gospel Project” jest afro-amerykańska formacja wokalna. Grupa ta powstała w roku 2002 w Nadrenii w okolicach Düsseldorfu. Szefem tej formacji jest pianista, dyrygent i aranżer PETER MANTE. Peter jest absolwentem Rhema Bibel Training Zentrum w Bonn. Ma on ogromne zdolności w jednoczeniu ludzi poprzez śpiew na chwale Boga. W dotychczasowej działalności artystycznej wykorzystuje swoje doświadczenie muzyczne także w pracy edukacyjnej. Polega ona na głoszeniu wiary i religii śpiewem. Początkowo zespół Petera Mante śpiewał podczas nabożeństw kościelnych, na różnych uroczystościach świeckich, akademiach i bardzo często na ślubach.

Mistrzowska Szkoła Letnia dla pianistów z orkiestrą symfoniczną, odbywająca się pod Honorowym Patronatem Marszałka Województwa Kujawsko – Pomorskiego – Piotra Całbeckiego. Dyrektorem Artystycznym Kursu jest prof. Ilja Scheps. Koncert w Sali Wielkiej Dworu Artusa odbywać się będzie pod batutą Przemysława Fiugajskiego. W Kursie uczestniczą młodzi pianiści z całego świata. Organizatorem jest Towarzystwo Muzyczne im. I. J. Paderewskiego.
REMENÁR PAVOL /SK/ – baritone
Slovak baritone Pavol Remenár joined the company of Slovak National Theatre Opera as a soloist in September of 2000, when he debuted in the title role of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Since then he has sung number of roles on this stage: Belcore (Donizetti: L’elisir d’amore), Rossini’s Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Dandini (La Cenerentola), Mozart’s The Count (Le nozze di Figaro) and Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Orfeus (Gluck: Orpheus and Eurydice), Silvio (Leoncavallo: I pagliacci), Puccini’s Marcello and Schaunard (La bohème) and Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Valentin (Gounod: Faust), Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Jelecky (The Queen of Spades), R. Strauss‘ Harlequin (Ariadna auf Naxos) and Jochanaan (Salome), Goryantchikov and (in Prague) Shishkov (Janáček: From the House of Dead) etc. He is also a regular concert artist, his repertoire includes Fauré’s Requiem, Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ, Saint-Saëns‘ Oratorio de Noël, Handel’s Te Deum laudamus, Janáček’s Amarus, Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen as well as many songs. At the Prague opera stage, he debuted as Puccini’s Sharpless at the State Opera (autumn 2014).
SZLENKIER TADEUSZ /PL/ – tenor
Tadeusz Szlenkier was born in Warsaw, Poland. He finished philosophy at the University of Warsaw, and vocal studies at Yale University in the United States. In May 2005 Tadeusz Szlenkier won the first prize on International Vocal Competition Klassik-Mania in Vienna. Since that time he has performed in many important theaters across Poland, and abroad.
Since 2010 Tadeusz Szlenkier collaborates with Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Poland singing many roles of a lyric tenor such as Alfredo in La Traviata, Rodolfo in La Bohéme, Princ in Rusalka, Enzo in La Gioconda, Tamino in the Magic Flute, Barinkay in the Gipsy Baron, and Alfred in the Bat. Tadeusz Szlenkier has performed also as Gustavo in Ballo in Maschera, Leicester in Maria Stuarda by Donizetti, Jontek in Halka by Moniuszko, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly many others.
In March 2008, Tadeusz Szlenkier was invited by Mrs. Elżbieta Penderecka to take part in a concert performance of an opera “Lodoïska” by Cherubini during 12th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw. The recording of this concert was later nominated to the prestigious “Fryderyk” award. In 2010, Tadeusz Szlenkier represented his country by taking part in the concerts organized during EXPO World Exhibition in Shanghai. In May 2012 the Tenor performed as Idomeneo in the opera by W.A. Mozart at the Teatro Municipal in Lima, Peru.
TORLONTANO CARLO /IT/ – alphorn
Guest soloist worldwide on the Alphorn, the Italian musician Carlo Torlontano dedicated most of his time promoting the Alphorn and its traditions as well as repertoire, introducing in the Concert-Hall this instrument mainly known for its use in sending signals throughout the Alpine valley.
Carlo Torlontano had been invitated to play in some of the world most prestigious Concert-Hall and International Festival, like Mozartuem Salzburg, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Philharmonie Berlin, Mainly Mozart Festival (USA), Brisbane Music Festival, Salle de Concert Pollak de Montréal, Proms Prague Festival, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Warsaw Philharmonic, Tokyo Muza Symphony Hall, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Auditorium Lisinski Zagreb, Cankarjev Dom Ljubljana, Gran Teatro de Cordoba, Belgrade Philharmonic, Praha Smetana Hall, Internationaal Kamermuziekfestival Den Haag, Festival Internacional de Santander, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, California Center for the Arts, Casa da Música do Porto, Beethovenhalle Bonn, Newport Music Festival (USA), etc.
Carlo Torlontano has been also for many years the Principal and Solo Horn player with RAI-Italian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra and Teatro di San Carlo in Napoli. He also has collaborated with many of the most prestigious conductors among them: Abbado, Accardo, Ahronovitch, Berio, Bonynge, Gatti, Gavazzeni, Harding, Koopman, Kuhn, Maag, Maazel, Oren and Semkow.
Carlo Torlontano is currently Horn Professor at the Conservatory of Music “A. Casella” in L’Aquila, Italy.
TORUN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA /PL/
It was founded as the Toruń Chamber Music Orchestra in the artistic season of 1978/79 and performed under the auspices of the City of Toruń since 1990. The orchestra receives the funding for its activities from the City of Toruń, to which it owes its dynamic development. Since February 2006 it is officially named as the Toruń Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra has gained a firm standing among many other cultural institutions in our town. This is due to the concerts performed in Toruń as well as at numerous tourneés, both in Poland and abroad. In the course of thirty-five years of their artistic activity, the orchestra played in most of Polish cities, in many European countries (e.g. Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Italy, France, Belarus, Lithuania), at many prestigious festivals. The orchestra is especially proud of a one-month tourneé in China, two concerts at the Opera Gala in Pamplona, as well as the concert at the Cirque Royal in Brussels (in October 2010). In July 2010, the Toruń Symphony Orchestra accompanied José Carreras at his performance in the Toruń Motoarena.
The director of the Toruń Symphonic Orchestra (currently gathering 56 musicians) is Paweł Dudzik.
TOS STRING QUARTET /PL
The String Quartet was formed at the initiative of the leading musicians of Toruń Symphony Orchestra in 2004 and it is composed of :

The first official concert was held in 2005 in the Artus Court and it was enthusiastically received by the audience and critics. The cooperation between the musicians resulted in successive performances and recording of the album “Romantically”, which was a collection of the most famous and popular miniatures. Quartet’s repertoire is very rich and constantly expanded. It includes works by composers of different eras from Baroque to contemporary times.
USTYNOWICZ ADAM /PL/ – director
Born in 1953 in Warsaw.
MSc. of Aviation Faculty of Warsaw Institute of Technology and PhD candidate in Thermodynamics. Graduated as film director form Lodz Film School in 1986, traveled to China to become assistant of Bernardo Bertolucci during production of THE LAST EMPEROR on location in The Forbidden City in Beijing. In 1989 set up one of the first independent film production companies in Poland. In 1990/91 produced and directed a 50 min. documentary for popular BBC2 series Bookmark about Polish Science Fiction writer Stanislaw Lem. The film was awarded the first prize on the International Festival of the Films on Art, Montreal 1994.
Series of educational programs about Space „Ad Astra” was presented to the POPE JOHN PAUL II during the seminar on philosophical and religious aspects of contemporary science in Castel Gandolfo, August 97.
From 1994 to date a film director and independent producer, author of more than 200 films and programs, mostly about exploration of Space, history of aviation and philosophical and ethical aspects of modern science. Author of the pioneer in the World Series of programs converting Internet and television broadcasted by Polish Television in 1995. Producer of live coverage of landing of space robots on Mars and Titan.
In February 2010 produced a Chopin concert in Space on board of STS-130 Endeavour during the mission to the International Space Station. Producer and director of documentary film CHOPIN 2010 – THE SPACE CONCERT on the occasion of 200th. anniversary of Chopin birth.
Passionate about aviation and Space exploration. In the years 2003-2005 vice president of CASI – International Air Sport Commission of FAI, member of Polish Aviation Council.
ZDUNIKOWSKI ADAM /PL/ – tenor
The tenor Adam Zdunikowski was born in 1966 in Warsaw. His first contact with music came at the age of seven, when he began singing with the Lutnia boys’ choir in Warsaw. In 1991, he graduated from the solo singing class of Roman Węgrzyn at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 1990, he had already made his debut on the chamber stage of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw as Clem in Benjamin Britten’s The Little Sweep.
In 1991, he became a soloist with the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, consistently expanding his repertoire, which now contains thirty-five operatic parts. His roles at the PNO have included Shepherd in Szymanowski’s King Roger (2000), Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (2002), Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (2002), Prunier in Puccini’s La rondine (2003), Narraboth in Strauss’s Salome (2004), Madwoman in Britten’s Curlew River (2005), Prince Philipp in Zygmunt Krauze’s Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy (2007) and Almaviva in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (2007).
